Let's Figure This Out

When I first started this blog I was a bit out of my comfort zone. It’s not that I haven’t started my fair share of blogs in the past, all of which are no longer active, sadly. It was that I had opted to design my new blog on Squarespace, rather than choosing my trusty old Wordpress.

To be honest I just wanted an option that was easy and affordable. I didn’t want to deal with figuring out hosting and buying a template or building it from scratch. So I dove right in and signed up for a plan.

Being a typical DIY gal, I didn’t watch any of the recommended videos and instead just started tinkering with the design elements of my chosen template. Well, I quickly learned that I had no idea what the hell I was doing.

I created the sweet button you clicked to get here simply as a placeholder. But then I kind of liked the look of it and thought, “it is kind of my life motto and the motto that got me through actually setting up this website.”

So I decided I would keep it, at least for now, as a reminder that I can figure this stuff out! Whether the ‘it’ is a website, using a new platform, or the bigger obstacles in life, all you need is a bit of patience and a willingness to learn while being out of your comfort zone.

Don’t let the thought of trying something new, especially something that seems difficult at first, deter you from learning a new skill or venturing off on a new path in life. Figure it out! You’re a smart, resourceful person. Probably far more capable than you give yourself credit.

If I can do it, you can do it. So let’s DO the damn thing already!
